NA Regional Electrical Technology Project Leader

In this role, you will be responsible for Regional project leadership over electrical new technology development + implementation to commonize the system, approach, and equipment investment to optimize manufacturing characteristic impact across all NA plants and business teams.

  • Create NA strategies for electrical technology development + implementation
  • Cross-company coordination of activity in NA and w/Global sub-project leaders
  • Maintain linkage between business + IT activity including project requirements + schedules
  • Create/manage total NA resource plans (manpower + budget)
  • Create/maintain NA activity schedule and manage to NA + Global project milestones
  • Communicate project direction updates to NA companies
  • Issue resolution across companies and between NA/Global team
  • Support business operations that impact Regional or Global procedures/policies
  • Provide periodic project status updates/critical information to project + business members
  • Create material and lead project evaluations

Qualifications



  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Engineering or Computer Science


  • Minimum 10yrs total experience
  • 3-5yrs in a project leadership role
  • Ability to understand electrical and IT technical details and terminology including cybersecurity and autonomous driving technologies



Knowledge and Skills



  • Project milestone achievement (specific by project)
  • Project requirement achievement (specific by project)
  • Manufacturing characteristic impact (especially process time, cost, manpower)
  • Setting unique NA technical direction for new technology development and implementation
  • Overall project budget (investment + expense)
  • Communication/negotiation
  • Technical aptitude (electrical, electronic, IT)
  • Vision/strategy



Working Conditions



  • Majority of work will be office/PC related with no specific physical requirements, 5-10hrs/wk OT anticipated
  • Some travel to NA plants (2-3 trips/yr) for coordination and onsite implementation with Local plant members
  • Japan travel (1x/yr) for strategy correlation and technology planning updates
