Under the general supervision of the Director of Research
Administration (DRA) in the Department of Radiological Sciences, the Research Finance Manager provides fiscal and grants management and administrative support to
Principal Investigators and department leadership for research investments made
by the Department.
This portfolio, currently totaling $20 million annually, is
comprised of all Donor funds, Sales and Service activities,
Departmentally-funded research projects, Investigator-specific research
support, Sales and Service funds, indirect cost recovery funds and other
UCLA-funded mechanisms. This role is responsible for the post-award and
financial administration of these funds, while assuring University contract /
grant requirements, federal, state, county, city and university
rules/regulations, and local compliance mandates. Due to the inter-relatedness
with the Department's extramurally funded research activities, the candidate
should be comfortable with extramural funding mechanisms and their post-award
administration. This individual will manage accounts receivables for the sales
and service units and the clinical trials unit.
