Job Description:

  • Working as a Family Engagement Advocate at Acelero Learning gives you the opportunity to give back to your local community by engaging and supporting the families and children in our program.

  • You will work as a team member whose primary role is to engage families to partner with us to promote children's healthy development and school readiness.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Engage families as partners in their children's healthy development and school readiness

  • Engage in a process of collaborative partnership building with families of children receiving (Early) Head Start services

  • Foster a sense of community and sense of belonging among families in order to strengthen social capital

  • Build relationships that will enhance communication and collaboration among internal and external stakeholders

  • Effectively manage workload and ensure accurate record-keeping and documentation

  • Participates in assigned meetings, events, and training as required, with frequent travel locally for work-related functions.

Job Requirements:

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is a must.

  • An Associate's Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Family Services, Counselling, Family and Child Development, or a related field is required; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.

  • Passion for promoting positive child and family outcomes through high-quality family engagement.

  • Proficient in supporting parents of young children in advocating for their families and cultivating positive relationships with both families and children, utilizing experience, training, and skill.

  • Proficient ability to interact effectively with people from diverse backgrounds, both verbally and in writing.

  • Proficient in Google Suite, spreadsheets, data management, email, word processing, and internet navigation.

Additional Information:

  • This full-time (33.75 hrs./week) position has benefits and earns up to $22.51/hr.

  • Center Location: 81 West Main Street, Freehold, NJ 07728 and 200 NJ-35, Neptune City, NJ 07753

Pre Hire Requirements:

  • For this position, you must pass a Fingerprint Screening (CHRI), a Background Check (CARI), Two Reference Letters, and Physical exams with a TB Test.

  • Must have a Valid Driver's License and a reliable transportation

  • Please note: All new hires must attend the four days (Tuesday - Friday) of mandatory New Employee Orientation Training at South Amboy Center - 310 Augusta Street, South Amboy, NJ 08879
