Overview:

Blackhawk’s Order and Fulfillment team is seeking a hands-on Senior Technical Product Manager with hands-on expertise in delivering scalable solutions and platforms that enables growth of current and future products and services to our customers in the FinTech space.

Responsibilities

  • Go to market for BHNs API First Branded Value Ordering solutions and services, wrapped in ‘easy to access’ Developer Front Doors
  • End-to-end management of APIs, championing a top-tier API portal, and crafting comprehensive documentation.
  • Build and maintain developer relations, align platform capabilities with the company vision, and ensure financial understanding.

Critical Skills

  • Proven track record in iterative product development, effective communication, problem-solving, and leadership through influence.
  • Solid understanding of relevant technology, cloud solutions, programming languages, and experience with product design and architectures.

Go-to-Market Strategy

  • Own the go-to-market strategy for multiple Core Enterprise platforms.

Product Strategy and Capability

  • Drive product strategy with a proven track record and a focus on business process automation.
  • Manage concept to launch, collaborating with internal experts, clients, technical program managers, and engineers.

Launch and Release Plans

  • Own launch and release plans, collaborating with various stakeholders for proper prioritization of product features.

Strategic Ownership

  • Strategically and tactically own product development for Blackhawk's Order & Fulfillment platform, covering Prepaid - Open Loop, Closed Loop, Digital, and Incentive products.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical Prowess: Deep understanding of API development, modern integration methods, and best practices. Processing platforms experience is a plus.
  • API Development & Management: Own the end-to-end lifecycle of the O&F platform’s APIs. Focus on ease of understanding, comprehension, and integration.
  • API Portal: Champion the development of a state-of-the-art API developer portal, exceeding industry standards.
  • Documentation & Guides: Develop comprehensive guides and documentation for seamless API integration.
  • Developer Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with the developer community. Gather feedback to ensure their needs are met.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Core Enterprise Platforms and technical teams. Align platform capabilities with the larger company vision.
  • Financial Understanding: Comfortable grasp of financial advice and quantitative methods for effective platform functioning.
  • Continuous Improvement: Regularly evaluate the platform's ease of use and developer experience. Drive improvements and refinements.
  • Proven Track Record: Define and ship products iteratively, with a hands-on execution perspective.
  • Product Strategy: Transform product strategy into well-articulated business requirements. Use qualitative and quantitative data to inform product direction.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills for executive and technical discussions.
  • Problem-solving Abilities: Fantastic problem-solving skills, analytical horsepower, and attention to detail.
  • Global Collaboration: Ability and willingness to work with globally distributed teams and partners.
  • Leadership: Leadership through influence, motivating cross-functional product development teams.
  • Technology Understanding: Solid understanding of relevant technology, APIs, cloud solutions, and programming languages.
  • Product Design Skills: Strong product design skills, focusing on technical API and user interface design.
  • Cloud and Architecture Experience: Experience with cloud computing, service-oriented architecture, microservices, and event-driven architecture is a plus.

Qualifications:

  • Education and Qualifications: BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Experience: 8+ years of technical product management in Enterprise, Business APIs, Platforms and Processing systems.
  • Product Launch Expertise: Proven experience managing end-to-end product and platform launches using Scrum/Agile methodologies.
  • Strategic and Analytical Skills: Expert in Market Analysis, Business Case Development, Vision, Planning, and Implementation. Proficient in creating use-case, sequence diagrams, workflow, and domain model development.
  • Positive and Collaborative: Positive attitude and collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Organizational and Technical Abilities: Strong organizational and analytical skills with a solid technical background.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the Prepaid/Gift Cards/Payments space is a plus.

Benefits:

Salary Range for California Residents Only: $133,920.00 to $180,000.00

 

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Blackhawk Network offers benefits including 401k with employer match, medical, dental, vision, 12 paid holidays throughout the year, 1 hour of sick pay accrual for every 30 hours worked, parental leave, life insurance, disability insurance, accident and illness insurance, health and dependent care flexible spending accounts, wellness benefits, and flexible time off for all full-time employees.
